Temperature-Based Control

When AC mains fails and the shelter heats up:

Temp > AC ON threshold → Generator starts, AC compressor runs
Temp < AC OFF threshold → Generator stops
AC mains restored → Unit bypasses itself automatically
Battery Voltage-Based Control

During extended mains outage or cold weather:

Voltage < CHARGE ON level → Generator starts
Voltage ≥ CHARGE OFF level → Generator stops
Min ON time → Overrideable by user for operational needs

Operation Logic Summary

Frequently Asked Questions

The optimizer keeps the diesel generator OFF when AC mains is available. When mains fails, it monitors shelter temperature and battery voltage. The generator only starts when temperature exceeds the 'AC ON' threshold or battery drops below 'CHARGE ON' voltage — not continuously. It stops automatically once both parameters return to normal.

If shelter temperature exceeds the preset 'AC ON' threshold, the generator starts and runs until temperature falls to the 'AC OFF' limit. Thresholds are user-configurable via the front-panel LCD display, so the AC compressor only runs when genuinely needed.

When battery voltage drops below the 'CHARGE ON' level, the genset starts and runs until voltage reaches the 'CHARGE OFF' point. This reduces unnecessary charge cycles and extends battery lifespan. Users can also set a minimum genset ON time for operational flexibility.
